Did I find a reborn?

Stopped by a small thrift store here in town today and found a beautiful baby doll that I fell in love with. She has a cloth, weighted body but her features are so realistic (she even has teeny little detailed fingernails) and she has a soft downy like hair that seems to be glued on and not rooted. The hair isn't in the greatest shape but she (her bracelet says Emily) was only $3 and absolutely adorable.
What do you guys think?
Part of me wants to try and sell her (money is extremely tight right now)
but the other part just loves her and you should have seen the way Brenna cuddled and talked to her when I brought her home.

Emily has that doll. MIL was on a kick of buying dolls for them every year from some website. They took them to John's house so I can't look it up to see what the brand is but I am almost positive that it is Ashton Drake co. Is the hair like real and the doll kinda freaky like it looks like a dead baby or something? The damn things freaked me the hell out they were so realistic! They retail for around a $100 if they are the same ones. Have you checked the back of the head and torso for some kind of stamp or anything?

Yeah not a reborn. I love the reborns ( i know most people don't...and yes, they are kinda.. creepy)

Lol Krista ... the stamp on the back of the neck says A.D. so I'm guessing you are right ... I can't sell her anyway ... Brenna coddles her like her own baby. She is freaky looking and the hair is very "real" feeling.
... I had the dead baby thought too.

I bet she is cute with it. I let my girls play with all of their's too. What's the point of buying a kid a doll if you aren't going to let them play with it? They don't care that it cost over a hundred dollars.
The very first one that MIL gave Emily I was at her house when it got there in the mail and when you open the box with it just laying in there looking so real it freaks you out BIG time! They totally look like dead babies and it gave me the willies. I think that I even showed Jen when Em got it cuz I was so freaked on how realistic it was. LOL
Even their skin feels real! I like looking at their lil feet. :P

You can definitely tell it's her from looking at the picture ... although the hair is nappier (and fuller?) on Brenna's.

It doesn't make me think of a dead baby at all, I think it's beautiful! I would like it better though if it's eyes were open even just a little, newborns don't sleep ALL the time
