Over the last three nights, NBC has led its primetime Olympic coverage with synchronized diving. According to the stacks of letters that have poured into the Fourth-Place Medal Investigative Unit Headquarters, you've all been watching but are baffled by one facet of the competition. In that case, you're in the right place. After successful forays into the cases of Cullen Jones' disappearance and the identity of the hot Paraguayan, Fourth-Place Medal will today tackle the mystery of the showering divers.

Re: The mystery of the showering divers

What's more confusing to me is why they didn't put up a wall so the divers could shower in privacy. With all the money they spent on a dang shower, you'd think a privacy wall wouldn't be that much more.

In a way I can understand not having one. They stay in their suits and their waiting on their scores. However, even a partial wall might have made them feel more secure.

Of course, are the swimmers complaining? Maybe, for the most part, they don't care.

Maybe they will put up a wall once the Olympics is over. I can't see an unwalled shower as being very useful in the long term. Then again, it's communist country, maybe they like the "togetherness" of a very public shower.

Re: The mystery of the showering divers

Those "showers" are just for rinsing the chlorine off, not for actual washing up. So a wall really isn't needed.
