Is your tween/teen learning to drive? Bugging you about learning to drive? Driving you crazy asking to drive your car?

What age where you when you learned to drive?

I got my learner's permit at 12 and my first real license at 14. What can I say? Farm girl in a farm state.

Re: Learning to drive

My 7, 5 & 3 year olds have Power Wheels that they drive around in so they think they already know how to drive!

Re: Learning to drive

I have been letting Drew back the car out of the driveway or pull into it. He goes maybe 10-20 feet. Once he gets comfortable (and good at) doing that, then I will maybe start letting him drive thru the neighborhood. We'll see. He is still a long way from real driving, thank goodness!

Re: Learning to drive

Chase is 17 and has been driving for over a year now .. still scares the HELL out of me most days. Sissy is 19 and still doesn't drive .. she got her learners and then all that "stuff' happened with her .. so she will get her license when she moves to Florida.

Re: Learning to drive

Haley is only 12 so still a few years away from learning to drive. I took driver's ed and got my permit when I was 15 but didn't go back to get my actual license until I was 17.

Re: Learning to drive

I got mine in the age of 19, but still my parents won't let me drive a long drive/trip. They are afraid of me overtaking.
