How far along were you when you decided to....

Just curious... I am probably going to tell extended family when I am about 10 weeks and tell the rest of the world when I am 13 weeks - it's hard keeping a secret though!

Also, I heard that once your baby's heartbeat is seen on ultrasound your risk of miscarriage is reduced to about 3 - 5%, anyone else ever heard that? I think I heard it on a Pregnancy for Dummies show.

Because I have a history of miscarriages, I don't tell anyone other than Really close friends and immediate family (and Baby U) until my second tri-mester.

I told everyone immediately. I can never wait.

Because of my three miscarriages, I told family at 10 weeks and everyone else after 12 weeks.

We waited with Olivia till the first trimester was over... That and the fact that the boys were 5 months old when I found out, I didn't think my parents would be too thrilled.

I told everyone pretty quickly. It never occured to me to wait. I was too excited since I wasn't supposed to be able to have any. Besides, I have a big mouth!
