Official: Obama picks Biden for veep

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama selected Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware late Friday night to be his vice presidential running mate, according to a Democratic official, balancing his ticket with an older congressional veteran well-versed in foreign policy and defense issues.

Brenda, they haven't announced who McCain has chosen yet.

I'll be glad after all this election stuff is over with.

Biden is an excellent choice. He has a great deal of experience (More than all the other candidates put together). He is strong on Veterans Issues (which are important to me). He can certainly speak his mind. I was disappointed that Obama did not pick Hilary, but Biden is also a good choice. I look forward to seeing him in action. He's been on Capitol Hill a long time so any skeletons in his closet have to be exposed and rotted away by now.

The man is so outspoken it's scary! LOL! But he is a good choice for VP. Years of experience, knows how things work on the hill, and will have lots of good advice for Obama. But I still hope they lose. Sorry, Lenora!
