Coloring / highlighting hair during pregnancy

Just wondering how many people here did either of these things. I plan on continuing, as my Dr. and the books I have read said that with today's hair products it's safe to. I still have seen little things though that say not to, blurbs on the internet, old wives tales and just wanted to get a general poll.

I had my hair highlighted a few months ago, and had my hair permed when I was pregnant with Issac, so I'm not worried about it, it's not like I have my hair done all the time anyways!

I'll go against the grain....

I always waited until I wasn't pregnant to have my hair done. Although I see no problem with getting it done while preggo.

I always color my hair when I'm pregnant. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area. Sometimes the smell will make you sick or dizzy.

I didn't because back then the doc said not too. Also I was told by my stylist (back then) that your hair can change during pregnancy and a perm or color may not take the way you expect. But if your doc says it's ok, then go for it.
