WASHINGTON - Days after it got a federal bailout, American International Group Inc. spent $440,000 on a posh California retreat for its executives, complete with spa treatments, banquets and golf outings, according to lawmakers investigating the company's meltdown.

No wonder they melted down if they don't have any better sense than that! I hope they do get fired and have to pay back the money. Heck, the government is all over some single mom for getting a couple extra food stamps .

I'm pissed as well! I saw the polis talking on the news about it and they were livid! Red in the face and everything. I say they need to pay it back NOW.

Each and every one of the execs who went needs to PAY FOR IT OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET and return that money to the government. I can't pay my bills but they are sending these guys to a retreat? I don't fricking think so! I hope every one of them gets fired!
