Iowa teen left at Neb. hospital back with family

OMAHA, Neb. - An Iowa teenager who was abandoned at an Omaha hospital under Nebraska's safe-haven law is back home after her grandparents dropped her off to teach her a lesson but soon changed their minds, officials said Thursday.

I'm glad she's back with her grandparents and the state is involved to make sure this doesn't happen to her again. Some lesson! If you don't do as we say, we'll abandon you. And she had no parents in her life either.

I didn't realize that's why this girl had been abandoned and agree that it's a complete abuse of the law. I'm glad the girl is safe but wonder if with the grandparents is where she should be. Hopefully the state they live in will keep a close eye on her.

That is unfortunate that happened... Definitely misuse of the law.

That is horrible! You don't do that to a KID! I don't care how badly she was behaving, you simply dont threaten to abandon a child.
