Make your own window clings

Supplies:

Window Cling Kit from Dollar General ($2)

or

Glass paint (same stuff used for sun catchers)
Clear plastic page covers

or to make your own glass paint-

paint
Elmers Glue
Mix together.

Instructions:

Lay plastic sheet over coloring book page. Trace lines with black. Let partially dry. Color in with desired colors. Let dry for at least 12 hours. Peel off plastic and stick to window.

If you don't wait to let it completely dry, it will stick to the plastic. Also, take care pulling design off the plastic, because if it folds in on itself, it will stick together and you can't get it apart.

I will try to take and post some pics of the ones I did.

I have GOT to try thsi with Ally! She will love doing soemthing liek this. And since we are supposed to have yet more rain this weekend, it will be a great rainy day project to keep her busy. Now I just need to go find a coloring book with Halloween pictures!

Tip: When you peel the cling off the plastic, turn it upside down on the counter. It will stick to the counter a little, but not nearly as much as it does to the plastic.

Re: Make your own window clings

When you say make your own glass paint, what kind of paint are you mixing with the Elmer's Glue? And is it a half and hlaf mix? I told Ally about this and she is anxious to try it, but the only paints I have are crafts paints, which you can use on wood. Can I use those?
