Did you see the debate?

I did not. I do not get any tv stations where I lived, because I refuse to pay for cable and that's the only way to get any stations in the mountains. I have been reading a lot about it though.

Why is McCain sticking his tongue out in the popular photos on Yahoo? It looks like it happened more than once. I have not appreciated the many faces of Bush, but he never stuck his tongue out at an opponent that I know of.

Who do you feel won the debate?

I watched it until about 10:15 and I fell asleep.
Lots of personal blows to eachother.

I really feel like Obama knows how to keep his cool, and not react.
McCain really reacts immediately to accusations, or anything really.

At one point, McCain made this weird like slurping noise, like he was drooling and tryin' to suck it back into his mouth. It was strange.

He has some sort of health problem, I'm not sure what it is either.

I wonder if he possibly had a stroke at some point too. He doesn't seem to have 100% mobility in his left arm. He holds it kind of stiff, and doesn't move it a whole lot, even when he writes.

Well, he had numerous injuries during the war, so maybe his arm is still injured from that.

Have me really wondering if he has some sort of dementia. Why would he do this? It's disrespectful and childish. Not exactly behavior I would expect out of someone running for president at a scheduled debate. This was not on the fly. Both had ample time to prepare. This is not the sort of behavior that wins over fence sitters when times are so hard.

Actually, I feel kind of sorry for the guy. He seems really ill to me. McCain is not the same as he was 12 years ago when I lived in Arizona and voted for him.

I have not watched any of them. I had the last one on tv when I was home and it was so boring I didn't even listen. I TRIED but I just couldn't. It eemed more like personal attacks than talking about the isues that matter.

I watch, I am a hopeless political junkie. I never saw one time where he stuck his tongue out. I did see a big eyebrow raise, but no tongue. It was probably a pic taken when he was licking his lips or something. He did occassionally breathe kinda loud, but his mike was probably just close to his face. He did not have a stroke, his arms were broken more than once in POW captivity and he cannot raise them at all.

Really why is Obama cool and collected? Because no one will call him on anything or they're racist. Easy to be calm and collected when no one will challenge anything you say.....

I was working last night, so I caught up on the Today show this morning. Not that I care one way or another. I know who I would vote for if I was registered to vote and that's all that matters.

Actually, I think both of them need to be kicked in the jimmy!

McCain lost my vote with his use of " fingers with mother's health. McCain doesn't care about women one bit (doesn't give a flying rat's patooty about equal pay for equal work), and Palin is not a good role model for women. She thinks she knows all about autism due to her son? Last I knew Palin was the VP candidate, not 1st lady... o are the economy and free trade off limits for her?

*sighs* Dam*ed if we do and dam*ed if we don;t voting this year... which is the lesser evil?

As much I as refuse to vote for Obama, I think he is going to win. But Nikki is right - this year is really is voting for the lesser of 2 evils. Neither candidate is good , IMO. But better McCain than a guy who has NO political experience on the national level, let alone the international level. But ti doesn't really matter. Neither one of them are a GOOD choice.

Too true. If the candidate you vote for wins, you still end up being disappointed. I would just like to actually be on the winning side of a national election for once.

With a two party system none of us wins, except the media, cause the can pit the two sides against each other easily.
