Making your own posters

Some of this can be done by really young children. The size of the poster depends on the size of construction paper.

Tools needed:

Coloring book
Crayons
Different colors of construction paper
Glue Stick or Elmer's Glue
Scissors

Optional:

Novelty scissors
Glitter
Other adnornments

Instructions:

Color coloring book pages. Parent or older child cuts out drawing.* Glue drawing on construction paper. Cut around leaving a margin around drawing so drawing appears matted like a photograph. Layer as many layers of matting under the drawing as you like. Adnorn with glitter, buttons or whatever you and your child like.

*Cutting closer to the drawing will allow for more layers of matting.

Yes, this was easy and most people probably thought of it or could have. But it is also fun and even the youngest kids can color.

Re: Making your own posters

This is another great rainy day activity for Ally. And a really good way to use up those unused pages of her coloring books!
