Crock Pot Beef Chuck 7-Bone Pot Roast

This piece of meat is one of the most flavorful of the crock pot roast and it shreds very nicely for tacos or burritos.

1 beef chuck 7-bone roast (about 4-1/2 lb.)
Flour for dredging
Salt and ground black pepper
Garlic powder to your taste
1/3 cup oil for browning roast

Dredge roast in flour and then sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Heat oil in a large skillet on medium high; add roast and brown on both sides.

Turn a large crock pot on HIGH and then add::

1 (10-1/2 oz.) Campbell's beef broth
1 envelope Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix
1 pkg. (0.87 oz.) Brown Gravy mix
1 medium size onion, halved and thinly sliced

Add browned roast on top; cover with lid and cook on HIGH for 2 hours. At the end of the 2 hours, add potatoes and carrots and cook another 4 hours on HIGH until meat is tender. 6 red potatoes, halved 4 to 5 carrots peeled and cut into chunks To serve, ladle the gravy over roast and vegetables.
