Any dentists doing this in your area?

One of our local dentists is collecting kids Halloween candy to send to kids overseas. I think he's giving them lighted toothbrushes in exchange for their candy. We are thinking of doing this - keeping some and giving the rest away. We get way too much candy anyway.

No one is doing that here that I know of. My kids never even eat half their candy anyways.

I've never heard of any doing this in our area but I always hear about it in other areas. Maybe I should suggest it to our dentist.

A dentist in my area is paying a dollar a pound for candy to send to kids and soliders overseas. If we have someone overseas that you would like to send a letter, note, etc. he is doing that for us also. I think its an awesome idea. I just hope ppl don't take advantage of it, and go out a buy candy just to go the money. ESP when the candy goes on sell and they make some money selling it to the dentist.
