10 Thrift Store costumes

Thrift stores are the perfect place to buy clothing for Halloween costumes. The prices are affordable and the selection usually wide enough for bountiful creativity. Some thrift stores carry Halloween accessories as well, so you may pick up everything you need for the following costumes in one quick, economical shopping trip.

I've done the Dog Food thing! LOL! Another easy one is to be a bum/hobo. Too large men's pants, tied with a rope (amke them as short as possible to your white socks show). Old raggedy shirt covered with an old suit jacket (the worse shape the better). Long stick with a bandana tied to it - fill the bandana with anything to fill it out. Take a cork, burn the end. When it cools, use the "soot" on the cork to make dirt on your face. Any old shoes will work - tennis shoes/sneakers with holes are perfect!

Or try being a gypsy. Big, flowing skirt witha peasant top. Big bangle earrings & bracelets, sandals, a scarf in your hair and your done!
