of not having your AF start while using progesterone suppositories?

This cycle is my first with 100 mg of Clomid and 100 mg a day of progesterone (suppositories) because I have had low levels of prog. I took an HPT about 3 days ago and it was neg., but I wasn't late for AF either. As far as my non-Clomid cycles go, I am late now. As this is my first cycle of Clomid and progesterone I don't know what to expect or think.

I'm afraid to test again and get a negative, because I was so crushed on Sunday. The due date of the pg I lost last year is April 4th and I was counting heavily on this cycle being successful.

I feel like stopping the suppositories to see if my AF will start, but if I am pg, the progesterone is needed.

Thanks for any advice!

I didn't start my Progesterone suppositories until I was PG so maybe some of the other girls can be more helpful??? But......I don't think it interferse (SP??) with your period. I think Provera is in the Progesterone family which actually has been given to me to START my period. I am not posative but I think so. Any ways I would re-test in a couple of days! It sounds like maybe good news to me!

Good Luck!

Progesterone can delay menstration because when your body realizes it is not pregnant, your progesterone level drops, and your period starts. If you are taking suppositories and you got a negative test, call your Dr. and ask him/her if you should discontinue the progesterone.

Re: Have any of you ever experienced....

Hi Heather,

I am trying today to call the covering dr. (Good Friday) and my regular dr's office is closed. Such luck!

I am on cd 31 now and no sign of AF and the HPT I took last night was neg. I am really disappointed and discouraged and this delayed AF is not helping matters. I feel like I am in a nightmare where the PMS never ends. UGH UGH UGH! I have never been this late and not been pg!

I suppose I should get a dr's ok to stop the progesterone.

Thanks for your advice ladies!
