Record number of voters expected to deluge polls

Voting problems surfaced in several areas early Tuesday as people turned out in droves as balloting commenced along the Eastern Seaboard and in mid-Atlantic states.

On a lighter note, I am sitting here blissfully at home thinking of all those people waiting behind dozens of old farts who can barely stop gossiping to actually vote at my polling station. How annoyed they must be. Our voting lines would not take so long if all the old Bessies and Berts out there would just shut up and move on.

Ours moved pretty well this morning. I waited about a half hour at 7:30 to vote. I was #186 here. Kev said over 500 (thats about 20%) of my Village absentee voted. People chatted woth each other and cracked jokes and talked football (Our HS team is in the payoffs) It wasn't too bad at all.

I'm actually glad I voted early this time around. I drove by our voting place 3 times yesterday and the lines were pretty long!
