Useless presidental trivia

As I was looking at President Elect Obama and his wife, Michelle, today, I thought, "boy, they are really tall!" But how does Obama stack up among his predessors? I looked it up. Barak Obama stands around 6' 1" to 6' 1.5". This puts him among the taller presidents.

I can't find a list of the heights of the First Ladies. At 5' 11" or 6", Michelle Obama may well be the tallest First Lady. Francis Cleveland is listed as one of the taller First Ladies at 5' 7".

Eleanor Roosevelt may have been slightly taller at 5' 11.5". However, I have not found a definative height for Michelle Obama. They may be the same height.

6'1" while being tall doesn't seem like an overly tall height ... I think his thin build adds to appearance of height.

6'1" is tall? Seems perfectly normal to me my kids are all taller than that

He is very slim. I thought he would be at least as tall as Lincoln. I'll bet his BMI is really low.
