I cannot get ahead in a game I am playing until I finish this puzzle. I have seen it before but cannot for the life of me remember the solution.

I can do it in 4 but not 3. I sure hope someone out there can help bc after thing about it four the last 4 days I am running around in circles.
OK when I post this my pyramid slides all the way to the left and becomes very unpyramid like

Grab some coins or buttons, One at the top, 2 on the next line, 3 on the next line and ..............yes, I know you are smart and you figured it out
............4 for the bottom row.
