Remember the mother in the MySpace Suicide?

she got off on the felony charges and only got charged with 3 misdemeanours about computer usage.

What example does this show? It says they were aware that the young girl next door suffered from depression but still thought it was funny to set her up, make her think she had a boyfriend and then have him drop her saying the world would be better with out her in it. What did they think she was going to do.

I think they should both have been charged with manslaughter, OK they didn't purposely mean to kill the child but they had enough evidence to work out what could happen and choose to ignore it.

They should have been charged for what they did to the girl next door and as a visible deterent to others who think this sort of thing is funny.

How must the dead girls parents feel, they must have known these people as neighbours and now the courts are saying, Oh well, tough luck your daughters dead, they didn't mean to cause her to kill herself so we will just call the killing of your child a misdemeanor and give them a slap on the wrist for it.

I don't understand it ... what adult ... what mother would think that humiliating a 13 yr old girl is "funny".

And what mother encourages such behaviour in her own child. Her daughter will have to live with the fact that she caused someone to kill herself. Altho if she is like her mother she probably won't give a damn but will convince herself it was not her fault.

Having a child who was just diagnosed as severely depresses, this really pisses me off! This is a tough age for any kid, let alone one that siffers from depression! That woman should have gone to jail for murder!
