Is your tree up?

Ours is. I don't normally put mine up until after the second week of December but because our Thanksgiving was so small this year, I wanted to give the kids something special to do on that day.

not yet....but it will be before the end of the weekend. My niece and I are cleaning out the area for it today.

Yep... went up the day after thanksgiving. One in the Living Room and one in the playroom.

despite my list for yesterday, No

But I did rearrange the furniture so I have the space for it and the tree is sitting in the space in a box, so I'm 25% of the way. Well when I say I rearranged the furniture I mean the boys rearranged the furniture under my directions. but close enough It will be up by the end of the day.

Last year I was so tired all the time I didn't even decorate the house, in fact we didn't get the xmas tree up until around 10.30pm on xmas eve and that was done with a feeling of "Oh, damn, tomorrows xmas so I have to put the bloody tree up" things will be different this year

not yet, no hurry for it

i have to move furnature just to get the tree out of its storage hole, then get someone to carry it all upstairs. when the slaves get to work, then it will get done!

course I haven't actually decorated it, just put it up it has something like 160 tips to pull out and I got sick of it, so every time anyone walks past it they have to pull a few tips into place Then we will decorate it

Nope. Next weekend I think. We get a real one and we don't like to put it up to soon so that it doesn't drop its needles everywhere.

We put our tree up on Sat. We go every year and pick out a real tree from a tree farm. Logan was very interested in the tree, but wasn't too bad with it.

He has went up to it a few time and touched the branches and my beads, but thats it. He loves watching the lights.

Or, you could just buy a "Charlie Brown Tree"... Yes, they ARE actually selling them! How can you go wrong? Cute Christmas story cartoon, minimal decorating AND minimal pine needle clean up. All in all, a win-win situation!!

And actually Lizzy, I CAN believe you haven't been shopping. Who wants to buy stuff you just have to move? (Can you tell I'm in the moving mode?) Sadly, that is how I'm curbing my holiday spending this year.... "I can get it later.... I'd just have to MOVE it if I bought it now!"

Mine has been up for almost a week. Just got the light on it tonight. Took 2 nights of working with it to get it "frou'ed" - and yes, that is the technical term for pulling all the little branches out and making it look nice! Ally and I have been doing a little bit every night (except last night since she wouldn't do her homework until it was bedtime!) We will work on getting the decorations on it tomorrow and then work on decorating the house this weekend. maybe.
