Re: New Years

We are going to DH's grandma's house with all the cousins and aunts/uncles to play cards! We did it last year and had a blast. We never do anything to off the wall.

Re: New Years

DH and I have been invited to a friends house for New Years. I am excited to get out of the house. With Logan being sick these last few weeks and finally getting three teeth cut in at once, I need a little bit of a break and some adult time and some adult juice lol.

Re: New Years

I'm not sure yet. I am off between December 24 and January 4 so I'm playing everything by ear. I'd be happy with staying home with Steve and watching movies.

Re: New Years

We having a standing date every year with my best friend and her husband. This year, some other friends might join us, but we'll probably just go out to dinner and then come back here for games and hanging out.

Re: New Years

not sure what we are doing... I have a friend from the States coming for the holidays, so she may want to go somewhere.
Normally, we stay home and ring in the New Year with the girls. We play games and watch movies, toast with sparkling juice and watch the skyline fill with fireworks. Jim is talking about doing some fireworks himself this year.

We normally have a party with all of our friends coming over. But this year Rick and I are going out! YIPEE! The tickets were $100 per couple and it was part of our Xmas gift to each other. It's going to be so much fun!

Re: New Years

Well I decided to splurge and take the kids out to dinner at a somewhat nice restraunt. We went to O'Charleys where 2 kids can eat free with each adult entree. Zach and I both had pick 2 entrees with soup, bread and potato and the kids had thier meals and we only spent $31 with a $5 tip! Mmmmm, Zach and I both had a sirloin as one of our entrees and it was yum! Bailey even had shrimp off the kids menu so he was happy.
Afterwards we went next door and picked up Krispy Kremes for breakfast in the morning which is a big treat at our house. Then we stopped by the store and picked up sparkling juice and chips for tonight. I plan on going to bed but the children are excited to stay up.
I hope that ya'll have a wonderful 2009!!

Re: New Years

Sam and Logan went to dinner at thier dad's. Kia and Colby are at thier mom's. We went to china buffett and then tried to go to lowes but they were already closed, just like the bank earlier :rolleye: We managed to get what we need at walmart. We are re-doing the bathroom tmorrow! I am excited but I managed to pinch a nerve in my neck today while sitting at my desk so I am not feeling great

Re: New Years

we had a great evening, went to the hockey game, them over to dh's cousins house where logan skated with his best buddy for three hours, and we visited around an awesome firepit. It is only 1139 but this is the latest i have been up for in a long time on new years.

Happy New Year everyone!

Re: New Years

We went out to dinner, bought some essentials at Walmart and watched a movie. I wanted to enjoy a sparkling strawberry with dh, but he had a migraine. So he went to bed and I watched Scientific American Frontieers. At least, he stayed up with me until midnight.

Re: New Years

My best friend and her husband and two other couples came over. One of the couples has kids that my kids love, so everyone was happy! I made chili, and we watched football and played dominoes. Everyone stayed up until midnight, which is a first!

Re: New Years

I was asleep by 10:30. We took the kids to Dinosaur World near Orlando then to Disney's newest restaurant T-Rex at Downtown Disney for dinner. They had a blast. They have Build A Dino by Build a Bear there and both boys built a dinosaur to take home. We watched a movie in bed and crashed. Today we went to see The Tale of Desperaux (very good) and shopped the outlets (very crowded).
