As we ring in the new year....

What is the one thing that you are most thankful for that 2008 brought to you?

For me it would probably be that my divorce was final after more then a year of battling. Finding our condo would be a close second.

Re: As we ring in the new year....

My improving relationship with my extended family. Also, my dh who was constantly ill or in pain in 2007 has been better this year.

I am also really thankful to have a home, food, electric, etc, because there are a whole lot of people who don't.

Neat idea, Krista!

Re: As we ring in the new year....

I am thankful for all the comforts I have, like Lenora said. I am thankful for all the work that came my way because it allowed us a lot of extras--traveling and vacations and such.

Re: As we ring in the new year....

For all my family and for the friends I've made this year. My family has been there 100% for me this year---well as usual. Honestly, I can't think of a greater gift God could have given me, then the family he picked out for me. I was blessed with them.

the birth of my grandson Dallas and meeting him and of course his wonderful mother and brother Bodhi. Having a wife and children is the best thing that could have happened to Greg and he found a wonderful woman to share his life and mother his children.

Re: As we ring in the new year....

I was going to say that I'm thankful for the relationship that I have started with Chad BUT then I realized that it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't finally been able to close the door on my relationship with Shane. I think that was my pivotal moment of 2008 that has allowed for some other really good things to happen.

Re: As we ring in the new year....

As tough as things were financially, I am thankful that we were able to make it thru. that the whole family pulled together and didn't complain (too much, anyway!) about the sacrifices we had to make.

I am thankful that we have gotten closer to Drew. This whole thing with his depression has allowed us to talk even more and see what a fine young man he actually is. I thank God for allowing me to see glimpses of the man he is becoming.

I'm thankful for the things I have in my life. My children, Dh my family. Times our tough and as much as it sucks to get up every day and come to work I'm very thankful that I have a job that pays. And for all of our health....
