Can't afford new furniture, but hate what you have? Make your own slipcovers.

Re: Making slipcovers

Very simple slipcovers, no sewing required.

Re: Making slipcovers

Oh, I thought that you were wanting to cover your kitchen chairs...I was thinking of doing that myself.

Re: Making slipcovers

I have a slipcover for a couch that is just sitting in the laundry room, we tried to use it but it was to much work...soooo we took it off, it is a deep red color. We got it from my fav store Anna's linens!

If anyone wants it... it is up for grabs

Re: Making slipcovers

Do you have a pic of it? Was it a fitted slipcover or a drapped one with the little rolls you slip between the sofa cushions? The reason I am asking is to find out if it is a solid piece of fabric. I had one of those drapes and it didn't work too well either, so I put it away until recently when I decided to make fitted slipcovers for all my furniture. Well, now I am running out of fabric... so if you don't mind it being cut up, I would like it. My whole house is in shades of deep red. Red is the national color of Hungary and my dh is Irish/Hungarian American.

Re: Making slipcovers

girl, I don't really know what the thing is... LOL, I am surprised it hasn't gotten thrown away yet. I will take pictures later today and post them up for ya!

^_^

I hate wasting stuff maybe that is why it is still here.

Re: Making slipcovers

Why would I make slip covers for the kids to trash? They have to old ratty couch, anyway. I wouldn't mind having some for "our" sofa, but we rarely use it. Right now it's a bed for the dogs.
