What program are you using?

Are you working out? What exercise are you doing?

Have you noticed any weight loss or physical improvements?

Re: Jan. 18: Diet and weight loss check in

I'm not really on a program. I am trying to eat less and exercise more. I switched from Zoloft to 5htp about a week ago. My hunger pains are gone and I am eating less. (Not just because I had the flu.) I am sleeping better and have more energy. I have the added benefit of an increased libido and I am slimming down a bit. I haven't noticed but maybe a pound or two decrease on the scales, but the pants I bought a week ago are looser.

Re: Jan. 18: Diet and weight loss check in

Thanks, Krista! I attribute it all to being off the Zoloft. I spoke to an old friend a few days ago, who also gained weight, had sevre hunger pains and felt like a zombie on Zoloft as well. I am actually happier than I was on Zoloft and much more alert. Which is wonderful!

What program are you using? Lenora, I am doing what you are doing basically. I did Weight Watchers in college, so I am loosely following what I learned there and staying away from foods that I know are high in calories and fat.

Are you working out? What exercise are you doing? I am going to the gym, and on days where I can't get to the gym, I try to get on the treadmill here at home.

Have you noticed any weight loss or physical improvements? Travis broke our digital scale, but I do know that I bought jeans last month that were NOT plus size, but in the regular misses' sizes, which is a big improvement.
All of the places that I want to lose weight, I have not lost weight yet, though. My hips and thighs are still way too fat, but I do see some loss in my waist and my boobs. I have a long, long way to go.

I'm not on a structured program just generally trying to eat better and less. So far I have only been doing Richard Simmons videos.

Ok I have been eating better and have only had a small piece of cake in 2 weeks. I am doing my survivor bootcamp 2 days a week, and this week I am actually doign 3 days....

I have noticed that I feel better, and everyone is commenting on how great I look. Today I was even told that I was "glowing"

Re: Jan. 18: Diet and weight loss check in

I'm not doing anything ...But I want to be! I just have a hard time finding the motivation and sticking to anything.
I have an 8lb goal and to be healthier in general. NEED to be drinking water.

I have a 10 lb goal and was doing good but just downed like 10 Oreos while on Facebook (terrible day at work). Noah saved me from myself--he walked by and grabbed the last one out of my hand. LOL.

Re: Jan. 18: Diet and weight loss check in

I'm not really doing a program. Rick and I were talking about this last night. He just went to th doctor and has gone from 285 3 years ago, down to 225! Last January, on Ally's birthday, I topped the scale at 205 - the heaviest I've ever been. As of yesterday morning, I weighed 166.5! That's a 39.5 pound loss! We think most of it is menopause, but the rest has to be that I have cut out abut 75% of the fat I was eating. Not to try to lose weight, but because of the effect it has on my body since they took my gallbladder out. I have almost comletely cut out cheese, which I LOVE. I do still eat it, much not a often and I try to stick to white cheeses which are MUCH lower in fat. Mainly, I just do without. But becasue of this, I need to start taking a calcium supplement since cheese was my main source of calcium.

I'm still tying to ake myself drink more water, but water is BORING! I want flavor! I have tried all the flavors of those sugar free mixes I get for the kid, but frankly, I hate most of them. The lemon is good, but I prefer just adding real lemon juice. Tthe black cherry is alright, too. The rest of hem i just can't stand - to sweet!

I have started eating smaller portions recently. i just can't eat s much as I used to -which is good thing. I'm just going to keep on doing what 'I'm doing since it seems to be working! And TRY to drink more water. Maybe I'll make some flavored iced tea to switch off with my DP. That's water. right?
