my BIL is in ICU

Jerry and I found out today that his BIL is in the ICU. We are not quite sure yet as to what happened....near as we can tell so far is that he was sick before xmas and didn't go in. People have been telling him for a few weeks to go to the hospital . A couple of days ago he was rushed to the hospital via ambulance because he could not breathe. Apparently he is awake now but still can't talk OUr one niece headed back home today and she is going to try and fill us in once she knows more

can you all please say a prayer for him. While my BIL and I are not at all close, I want him to be ok

I just got off the phone with my niece that lives in BC.....she told me he does not look good at all. Turns out he has a massive infection in his chest. He has a tube down his throat to help him breathe, he has tubes in his chest to help get rid of the infection. there are 7 IV bags and wires everywhere. He looks horrible. His hands are restrained to prevent him from pulling out the breathing tube, and they have to keep him sedated because if he gets worked up at all then he has massive issues. His blood pressure is also so low that he is on meds to help with that as well.

If he didn't go in to the ER by ambulance he never would have made it Please pray for him

Michele, keep us posted on how things go with him. I am sorry he is going through this, and I am sorry for your family, too. I just sent up prayers for him and for all of you.

Just wanted to give you all an update.

My BIL was on life support for 2 days. He was doing better and had the breathing tube and stuff removed. He was moved to a regular ward for a few days and is now resting and recouping at home where he should be.

The best part is he found out he is going to be a Grandpa again. our niece told him that while he was hooked up to life support, and he really thinks that helped to pull him through.

I KNOW that the prayers on here helped too.....so once again ladies, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers
