Best dressed for the balls

Who did you think had the nicest dress or outfit out of all the people featured in the news including guests and entertainers? Who was the worst dressed?

I haven't seen any really fugly clothes yet. IMO Dr. Jill Biden looked the best. I am partial to red and she looks good in red. The First Lady is wearing a pretty dress today. I really like it. Very artistic. I'll bet that fabric was specially designed.

Hmm...I haven't paid attention that. With all the stars there, I'm sure there were very nice dressed people.

Of course, every time I saw Michelle she was dressed in another dress.

Here's Michelle's dress of the day: http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Presid...r710570639.jpg

The style is ordinary, but the fabric is fabulous. My dh has done some fabric design, so I know what work fabric design is. I call Michelle Obama an American Princess Diana, because she sure loves clothes and she looks good in them.

Jill had a great dress on, she was also dressed well for the inauguration.
As for Michelle, for me the color for her inauguration dress was just bad, the design was good though.
The white ball dress did nothing for me, i really thought she was going to do better then she did.

I didn't like the fabric of her ball dress, but the style was great. I thought it could have been improved by removing the shoulder strap, but that is just me. If you have fabulous shoulders, why not show them all the way?

Someone said that it looked like wedding dress/ prom dress and it totally does! but i agree with you, if that side shoulder thingy was gone, i think it would have been sooooo much better

Re: Best dressed for the balls

I didn't like that dress at all! (The one in the link.) Probably becasue of the style. I would need to see it up close. The style sucked and didn't do her jutice. She is a beautiful woman and that dress was BORING!

I love the fabric of the white dress, but wasn't real impressed with the style. It was nice, but I just expectd MORE from the new first lady. As Lenora said in another post, our First Family is the closest thing to royalty we will ever have. Look at the Kennedys!
