Do you buy a gift for your kids?

Do you buy a V-Day gift for your kids. I get them something small. I get all the kids something small.

Sarah and Piper are getting a pair of V-day sock ($1 Target) and some V-day temp tattoos, and a small address book that clips to your backpack (2/$1 Target), along with candy. Thier brother, Logan, is getting Buzz Lightyear socks and Batman tattoos and a Justice League coloreing books, along with some candy. All told, I spent (including the bags) less than $11 for all 3 of them.

I also got the socks and tattoos for Ally. I'll pick her and Drew up a new outfit this year, becasue they both need clothes. Normally I don't spend that much on them.

They usually get a box of chocolates. I may pick up a stuffed animal or little trinkets but nothing fancy!

Re: Do you buy a gift for your kids?

IN the past I have. However this year I can't afford to. All they are getting is an outfit made by me as long as the baby holds out so I can get them done

Re: Do you buy a gift for your kids?

I usually buy them all cards and a small heart-shaped box of chocolates. This year will be a little different though cuz they have all recently shared that they don't like those chocolates very much
Sometimes I buy the girls new Vday outfits and sometimes I don't. Depends on the $ situation. This year I had Karen make them darling sets and bought them big vday bows from www.bigbowbaby.com and Gymboree red patent leather clogs from the Holland Days line. I can't wait to see them all dressed up! They won't be little enough to allow me to do it much longer!

I usually get them a Valentine and some candy. It's more important to them to have some gifts to give to their friends so that is where most of our V-day money goes.

Re: Do you buy a gift for your kids?

I usually only do something small. MIL always gets all the grand kids an outfit. I don't think she thinks we buy them enough clothes! It's nd ongoing thing with her and SIL buying the kids clothes. I keep telling them, especiallyw ith Ally, if they are going to get "play clothes", just go to Walmart or Target. That girl is he!! on her clothes! But Mom has recently started getting Ally dresses or dress clothes she can wear to church, which is fine by me. Right now they both desperately NEED clothes, so that is what I am getting them. Drew gets clothes and candy, Ally will get her little trinkets, clothes and candy. Drew says he doesn't want "toys". Yeah, right! I'll get him something silly from the dollar store and he'll love it!
