Ebay Sellers I Need Your Help

A friend of mine is having an 80's theme party in Aug. I am starting to look for clothing for Shane and I now bc some has told me the good stuff is kind of hard to find.

I am and Ebay shopper so I thought of Ebay first off bc I really don't want to pay a boat load of money for something I will only wear this one time. I typed in 80's clothing and all that came up mostly is cabbage and barbie doll 80's style chlothing, only like five women's items.

I was wondering if I could type in something else that would better my results or if any of you have something that you are wanting to get rid of and want to sell it to me though ebay.

A thrift store (Goodwill) is a great place to get the basics of your outfit and then you can find accessories on ebay. I did the 80's thing last year and found leggings and a long sweater thrifting and then added a belt, leg warmers, and bangles that I got on ebay.

What I do is search for what I am looking for and when I find it I go and see if I can get that same product on e-bay

Try vintage clothes. But I wold go to a thrift shop forst, like Elaine said. You are more likely to get a better deal that way. And they are going to have a much better selection.

LOL! You know if I had the body for that, I would prolly wear it!! I mean the party is to have fun anyway right? lol

I'm not even really sure what they wore in the 80s.

Oh Stacy you are killing me! You said that just to make me feel old, didn't you? In the 80's BIG hir was in, Leg Warmers were THE THING. Long shirts with belts worn draped (sometimes they went around you 2 or 3 times). Watch "FlashDance" Or "Footloose" to get some ideas.

Hey girl you are only as old as you feel/act. When I read some of your posts girl it seems like your my husbands age(29) or a little older!

One of my guys here at the shop told me to watch "Footloose" I have never heard of it, so I am curious as to what it is about lol. I looked at some leg warmers on Ebay today and seen that some ppl had them with the bigger sweaters sold seperatly pictured with them. Thanks for the ideas!

I would LOVE to be that small again. The more I look into the 80s fashion the more excited I get about the party. I am kind of wishin they would do a hippie party, now that was some cute off the wall clothing they had then.

It might help if you could narrow it down to a particular character you would like to dress as or a look? Copy the Pat Benatar style for example (big hair, headband, and just find a huge skirt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9J9rTZJBmw).

Once you have a more defined character, use their style to help find individual bits on ebay.
