Ebaying once again

Well, the waitressing gig I had went a bust (small family owned place with NO business for lunch) so I now have no pt job and nothing to do on Mondays, Tuesdays and biweekly Wednsdays so I have decided to try thrifting and ebaying for a profit again.
I feel kinda out of the loop with children's clothes right now since I haven't ebayed in probably 1-2yrs so I have a lot of researching to do.
I did hit jackpot last week and found a TON of awesome American Girl items New in the Box that I have started to list. Actually, I have them all ready in SSB (seller source book) and two launched last night. I am experimenting with what days to end with work best since it has been so long. Sooooo... I have two ending in the middle of the week, two Friday night and two Sunday night.
I am hoping to make some big $$ of course. They should be fun to watch as everything is retired and some are extremely hard to find and have ended for good money during the past month. I will post a link to my auctions if anyone wants to watch them for fun. Only two are listed now but the rest will go on this weekend.
Here's what I paid for the stuff in case you were wondering (and it's fun to compare to the ending prices!LOL!)

The nib clothing sets $3 each (I bought three but one I am keeping for Emily to give her for Easter)
Two sets of Samantha's Victorian Bday party- $4 for the treats set $6 for the glass lemonade set (these two should go VERY well!)
3 AG Mini*s sets for $12 each.
$55 total spent (for my records and to compare when they end)

Here's a link to my auctions:

Re: Ebaying once again

Where did you find those? I have been wanting to get Ally an AG doll and some clothes. But they are so expensive! Have you ever seen a used doll? And just what does VHTF mean? If you ever find a good condition used doll, will you let me know? I hate to get her a new one until I'm sure she won't trash it. We have serious "naked Barbie Syndrome" in this house. Don't know if I can handel "Nake AG Doll Syndrome" too!

Krista, I am glad it's going so well for you! By the way, Brenda responded to your post, but her response was moderated and you could not see it until I approved it, so you may want to look at what she said.

Re: Ebaying once again

Brenda, I found them at Goodwill but I have NEVER seen any AG stuff at a thrift before. And these were all NIB! VHTF means very hard to find btw....
They ARE very expensive! My kids definitely wouldn't have any if it weren't for my parents. The girls have bitty babies and Emily just got her first reg. AG doll for Christmas from my parents. She has no accessories for it. I feel kinda bad cuz she would love the stuff that I am listing but I can make sooo much money off of it and since I am barely working these days it just makes more sense to ebay them. I have hid them from her-she has no idea that I have them.
You may wanna try CL or upscale resale shops-they may have some AG stuff. I never see it anywhere though. I think that they get passed down to siblings and I know that my sister saved all of her stuff from when she was little.

Re: Ebaying once again

Haley had Samantha, Kirsten, and ... the red head ... but we sold all but Samantha on ebay.
The clothes are incredi-expensive so other than a few of the classic outfits for Samantha, we ended up going with Target's knock-off brand for other play clothes.

Great find Krista!

Re: Ebaying once again

Wendy, I had actually bought them at GW for Emily (she wears a size 1 but I was thinking for this summer) but they were WAAAAAYYYY too big for her. Can you believe that I got them for a DOLLAR? I couldn't believe it. I have never seen real crocs at GW. I see em on CL though.
Thanks girls, I hope that I do well. Trying to add to my income this way again since no one is going to hire a preggo girl to waitress now-LOL Plus, I think that there really isn't enough business. I am trying to get my mom to let me list some of her stuff to help them out (my dad is a RE agent and they are hurting bad) but they are having a hard time letting there stuff go...and they have soooo much stuff! Some people just grow really attached to their $hit I guess. I am not one of them

I was moderated? The horror! Wonder what is up with that? Guess I need to let kdAlise know. It shouldn't be doing that.

Krista, I hav seen them on CL, but for the pries they are asking in my ares, I might as well save my money nad get her a new one!

Re: Ebaying once again

Is it close to you? You should totally buy to resell girlfriend! (oh, and of course get me a doll or two as well )

Re: Ebaying once again

It's (The outlet) about an hour away in an area with LOTS of outlet malls. Their Big sale is in Madison once a summer. I have heard you can get dolls for as low as like $20 if your lucky. They have a ton of requirements to get in though (like no strollers etc)

Depending on where I am financially when they have it this year I might head over to it.

I think I will try and hit the outlet though in spring (thinkining April - maybe before Easter) - when I have income again and I don't have to worry about being too far from home and going into labor )
