I got a couple of these photo's via e-mail yesterday, here is a series of 10 photo's showing the wild koala having a bath and as it's mouth is wet , having a drink of water
Koala's don't drink!!
They are one of very few (or possibly the only) species who do not drink water, they usually get all their fluid needs from eating eucalyptus leaves. I'm guessing that bc it is a baby it was still being breast fed, it was abandoned by it's mother who was so disorientated she walked off and left the baby behind, but they do say that Mama is back today and that the RSPCA will return the baby to the mother, I'm hoping that she will not refuse to take it back because it smells like 'people' rather than 'Koala'
this really is the cutiest little critter
but get a load of the claws on the thing, they look cute and cuddly but they can certainly hold their own if they need to, and this one is still a baby, they need the claws to climb trees.

it not to fantastic around here at the moment and yet at the other end of Australia they are having massive flooding bc it won't stop raining and bc the ground is so hard it's not draining away.
