Has anyone used places like DirectBuy for remodeling projects? Good or Scam? I'm checking them out and was wondering if anyone had experience with them.

Re: buying clubs
Mike and I went to Direct Buy years ago and they were very high pressure. Told us we had to decide then to sign up or we couldn never sign up again...yeah right. I think it would be worth it if you were building a house or doing something major and were going to do all of your purchasing through them. This was years b/f we built our house and I was so po'd with the whole experience that I never considered it again. They have beautiful stuff, name brands and lots of things to choose from. Mike and picked out everything for our new house so it would have been worth it for us (probably) when we built but we didn't do it. I don't know how long wiat time is and such b/c we didn't go ahead with the process. The one we went to was in Norwalk, CT.

Re: buying clubs
I'm glad you brought this up Kim. DirectBuy has been advertising on our local stations a lot here latly. We are going to bulid on sometime this spring or summer and we thought about going there to get our supplies.I didn't know you needed a membership to but things from there. I guess I wont be buying from there bc there is no since in getting an expensive membership to go there only a few times.
