Help w/ Nap Time

Thread Starter
My daughter is 13.5 months old and we're having trouble getting her down for naps now. She's finally sleeping through the night (about a month now), but now she wakes up after about 20 minutes in the morning and afternoon nap times.

If we don't put her down, she's CRABBY! And this is a girl with a very happy disposition usually.

Help! Is it time to go to one nap? 3 naps but shorter? What do you all think?

Appreciate the help!

Re: Help w/ Nap Time

I would do one nap during the afternoon-probably right after lunchtime. It will give you more time to get things done as well cuz she will be sleeping longer and then not grouchy around dinnertime.

I agree with Krista. I'd go to one nap after lunch. She's probably not sleeping in the am cause she's probably not tired and by the afternoon she's probably OVERtired so she can't sleep.

Re: Help w/ Nap Time

Yep I agree with the others. Just remember when you first change the schedule it will be hit or miss somedays could be 11:30 or 12 sometimes eventually you'll be able to stretch the time out till right after lunch. Somedays I know when that needs to come early, I will feed her a little earlier and let her crash and sometimes she doesn't eat till she wakes up. Just depends but I try very hard to get lunch in and then nap.

Yep, I say one nap too! That's about the age all 3 of mine switched to once a day.
