Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I only had it with my 1st. Had them striped on Thursday/Friday - had her Tuesday early am.

Can't say I remember what it felt like. I don't remember it being painful.

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I don't think it did anything. I think it was that I spent all day Monday on my feet (walking) at a convention that pushed it forward.

If your body is ready he will come. Otherwise I wouldn't hold tons of hope.

you are dilated though!

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

My dr made me wait two weeks after my due date when we scheduled an induction. I never had that done. I never did dialate.

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I had mine stripped with Payton and it kinda hurt imo. Not real bad but pretty damn uncomfortable. I had her within two days.
Good luck!

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I had it done with my first and I have to tell you I kinda thought my midwife was digging for China in there. It hurt so bad I was in tears. On top of that it was about 5-6 days till labor started.

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I had it done with Ian, on my due date and went into labor 15 minutes later and it was uncomfortable but didn't hurt. ( and i have a LOW pain threshhold)

I had it done with Teagan like.. three or four times. NOTHING.

Good luck.

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

I am a wimp when it comes to pain, and I had this done with Emily when I was about three or four days past my due date. I thought it hurt. I went into labor within 48 hours.

Re: "Scraping" membranes?

Sometiems it works and sometmes it doesn't. They had to induce Drew even after doing this. I don't remember any pain, tho. Ally came early.
