It was report card night tonight so I went down to get Zachariah after school and he was obviously sick. Red eyes, just staring, burning hot...complaining that his eyes were killing him. BUT he had a great report card 
So I brought him up to my room until Mike got there after he picked Noah up. Zach was all sweaty and after playing on the computer and sharpening pencils was laying on my reading rug. My assistant principal felt him and said he was burning up.
Mike bought them pizza (they ate nothing) and tubbed them and while they were in the tub Zach started to throw up. Thankfully, Mike got him to the toilet!
But, I had to call out sick and my principal has been on a rampage about taking sick days b/c we are preping for standardized tests--don't even get me started. I can't even try to send Zachariah in b/c 1) he is really sick 2) I work there and we have a nurse practitioner so she will MAKE me take him home anyway 3) Zach will tell them he puked as soon as he gets there.
I am trying to rationalize all this but I know I can't send him. I have to go in and put away a few things that i left on my desk. I have plans ready but I didn't know I'd be out and left the report cards unlocked and don't want the kids to get their hands on them and one of my kids has been uh...."acting inappropriately" towards me (he kissed me today on the cheek in front of the whole class in the stairwell) and I wrote a memo to my principal about it and left a copy of that on my desk. I HAVE GOT to get in to put that in a file in the morning. So i have to drag poor Zachout to drop off Noah then in to school anyway then we can come home to rest.

I hope he feels better quickly and no one else gets it.
Your principal will just have to get over it! I hope that your little guy feels better soon.
