Stupid Realtors!!!!!!

Okay, I'm getting so fed up looking at houses online. Why do they bother putting 4 pics of the outside of the house and none of the inside???? Or better still, stretch a picture to make the room look bigger? It is so obvious they have done it.
I'm starting to look at what's on the market where we are moving, so I can send my MIL out if I see something I like. I don't want to send her on a wild goose chase though. Why can't these people post real pics of the houses? Good quality, and pics of each room. I don't want 5 angles of the bathroom, give me a good shot of each room!!!! Then I can make a decision about sending someone to look.

I understand. I was out looking looking the other day and they said they ahd 14 pictures and a bunch were of the same room.

Good luck! I found a house online and it looked like it had a huge yard on either side of it. No close neighbors or anything. Shane and I went to look at it in person and the house on either side was about five feet from the house UGH! what a rip off!!

When we were looking at houses we had the same issue. I remember one really cute little brick rancher. It looked really nice both inside and out. When we went to look at it it was horrible. It looked like my 2 year old had built it. The bricks were actually crooked, the house sat on an angle, the floors inside were uneven and sloped...it was SO different from the pic I thought we had to have had the wrong place. The Realtor said " well, it got you here didn't it....if they had made it look real, would you have come?" I leaned NEVER to believe the pictures. I totally agree it should be standard practice to take accurate pics of each room(with measurements) and both front and back of the property. All listings should have that.

Heather, what website are you looking on? I have heard some good things about realtor.com. I havn't personally been on it, so I don't know for sure, but like I said some people find it useful.

Which part of MO are you moving to, Heather?

If it is close to St. Louis I would go take some pictures for you of the houses you are interested in and email them. I've seen pictures like that too where they take different angles of one room or just outside pictures and not inside pictures. That drives me nuts too.

We are looking down around Ft Wood Cheryl, so Waynesvilee, St Roberts and Rolla... bit south of you.
As for what website, all of them I can find

Krista's dad is a realtor in the St. Louis area. I don't know if he knows any of the realtors in the Rolla/Fort Leonardwood area or not. He is very good! Steve and I used him to sell our house we first lived in after we were married, the house we previously lived in and he helped us with the details of building our new house. Let me or Krista know if you want his info.
