we are not having smoke anywhere near as bad as the city but there is still a fair bit around here.
My eyes feel like I have double sided gritty sandpaper under both of my top eye lids and I swear my tears that lubricate your eyes have turned to acid.
I went to the dr's about it today but I got a locum who didn't seem very comfortable with the english language and i know I don't speak her native tongue. She kept asking me if I had dry eyes and I kept telling her that my eyes were not dry, if anything they are watery because they feel like there are large amounts of grit in my eyes.
Needless to say she decided I have dry eyes and gave me some eyedrops called GenTeal Gel to use 3 times a day (active ingrediant Hypromellose 3mg/g and Carbomer 980 2mg/g).
the first application didn't hurt, didn't do any good but didn't hurt, the 2nd lot burnt for a few seconds and then settled down to doing approxamatly nothing.
I still feel like I have large amounts of grit in my eyes. the only thing that helps is keeping my eyes closed which is not an option when I am making 5 roundtrips a day of 45 minutes each.
Does it sound like anything you are familiar with? could it be caused simply by smoke irritation?? (none of the men of the house are having any problems at all, just me) Des assumes anything that goes wrong is automatically diabetes related (hence the dr's visit theis morning).
My BSG has been high in the morning and low in the afternoon but that has been going on for weeks now and I'm seeing the endochronologist on the 10th March but I can't keep sitting around with my eyes shut, if for no other reason than I keep falling asleep!

I had a really bad sick day yesterday and literally did nothing other than lie down because standing up made me dizzy. Today my eyes are fine, I'll see what happens now I'm using them again.
