When a pattern calls for you to cut 2 on a fold,

Do you crease the fold? And if so.. with an iron? or do you not crease it?
And then you place it, pin it, cut.. and then do it all again for your second piece?

AND when it calls for a lining... and then says cut 2 is that one from your printed material and one from your lining? Or, do I do it all from the material and then do it all again for the lining? Or is that in the instructions somewhere that I just can't find?

Please someone get on yahoo and message me. shonaandgeorge I am trying to get this cut out ( and hey.. I can give blood with the needle sticks and no I can;t use a thimble) and I want to sew it tonight.

Yes you're supposed to press the fold with an iron, I never do, I just use my hands...of course my iron is broken anyways

Yes again still on the fold.
As for the lining, try to find it in the instructions, but I think you cut 1 from the lining and 1 from the material.

Thank you Becca, I forgot you sew too!

Ok, found the instructions on the lining. Two from the material, one from the lining

Next question....


Trim Enclosed Seams into Layers
Trim corners

HUH?

Trim the excess fabric after you sew...like from the raw edge.

still a bit confused by the whole.. Self-facing thing.. but If i mess it all up, that's what seam rippers are for. And.. Older women in the church who sew
