Anyone noticing any trends?

... as you shop for spring/summer clothes for your kids?

It seems that this year's fashion is very similar to last year ... plaid shorts, the pink/brown color combo, etc.

Haley is asking for more skirts and leggings this year.

Yup 80's is very big right now.

I was at children's place and there were stir up pants and quickly walked away....LOL!!! There were only a few pairs and not the whole store thank goodness!

Tights and skirts (footless tights) and bermuda shorts again which is fine by me because Kel looks cute in them

I agree with Elaine pretty much the plaid bramuta shorts and I'm noticing big flowered patterns especially in like lime green and yellows for Jaedyn....

I purchased a few items last season from green dog and on sale so, I will have somethings to start out spring with and who cares what year 08 09 my 2 year doesn't notice LOL

Oh I also purchased a bunch of the granimals shirts from Walmart for 1 dollar! White, yellow, pink and blue short sleeves.

Jimmy has a sensory and chews his clothing so he must go with me and try most things on so that he's not annoyed my them.

I haven't seen the stirrup pants yet, thank God.

I bought all of Gracie's summer clothes on ebay and in bursts over the past few months. I was looking at them all the other day and realized that I am a sucker for all the turquoise/brown and pink/brown outfits. They just look so cute on her! I don't want that to be all she owns though.

Zach is a denim shorts and t-shirt kid and may make it this year on what he already has. Haley on the other hand has gone up a size and will need new clothes. I haven't gotten her much of anything yet because she'll need to come with me to try things on.

I have noticed all the footless leggings and mini skirts, too. Like Wendy, I am really glad that bermudas are back this year. I love seeing Emily in those, too!
Elaine, Emily has gone up a size since fall, so I am having to buy a lot more stuff than I thought I would have to. Travis is always growing, so no surprise there, but for the most part he doesn't have an opinion on his clothes, so that makes it a little easier to shop for him.

wow... stirrup pants... kinda makes me glad that i've only got boys to shop for....lol!!

I've gotta get the boys spring/summer clothes but they're really easy ... shorts and t-shirts

Ugh, stirrup pants! Noah wears hand me downs for the most part. Of course, I can't help buying him cute stuff when I'm shopping for Zach so he always has an overflow problem with clothes. He also is smaller than Zach was at his age so we are slightly out of season but I took the summer clothes to FL. Zach needs all new clothes for summer. Shorts he can probably get away with but he'll need new shirts and then ALL new clothes for fall. Both boys will need uniforms (Noah got accepted at Zach's school!) and Zach's won't fit and he will need regular clothes too.

I felt the same way when I saw them. Like I said it was only one rack and not the whole store thank goodness.

I HATED stirrup pants. My mom made me wear them. UGH. I'm SO glad I have boys and I don't need to worry about many 'trends'.

Austin could careless about what he wears. I've been letting him pick out his own clothes and I SWEAR the child is color blind. He doesn't match anything.

I have noticed a lot of colorful plaid bermudas for boys too.. which I have gotten the boys for some pictures!

along with the one piece rompers.

i got her some cute ganimals skirts to mix match with tees. i really like the jelly sandals i just dont like when they make your feet all sweaty. she is still able to wear her sandals from last year. I cant believe for a whole year shes been a size 8 which is good.

as for Raymond hes into the basketball shorts tshirt with flipflops. hes taken care of.
