Dr. update - hernia - YUCK!

So, it has been an interesting week for me! Monday I had to go into L&D b/c I was bleeding and having contractions. Everything is fine, I had an ultrasound to check the baby's amniotic fluid level, estimate weight and a biophysical profile was done on my little Ava and everything was perfect! The Dr. thinks I was bleeding b/c of doing too much that day, I walked almost 4 miles, I didn't intend to walk that much it just happened! On top of that I was walking in FitFlops so double the work! Contractions were just BH which I have been having A LOT of.

In other news I just found out that I have a hernia! So I will need to see a surgeon after I deliver (yay). It's an umbilical hernia, anyone here have any experience with those?

I'm sorry, no, I don't know anything about that. Hopefully, things will be smooth sailing from here on out.

Thanks Grace! I hope so too - no more hospital trips until the real deal for me (I hope)! Funny that I just found out about the hernia though, I was in so much pain during my ultrasound the other night and have been having belly button pain throughout my pregnancy. It's funny that it all makes sense now! Apparently it's nothing too serious but I will need surgery. I am REALLY not looking forward to that! I just want to get back on my feet and into my life but my body seems to have different ideas.

Update; I met with a surgeon last week and he suggested that I wait about 3 months from the time I give birth to having the surgery and anticipates no problems. Not really looking forward to what will hopefully be my first surgery but oh well!
