Up Roar Over Tween Dora

I'm not sure if your kids (girls) like Dora the Explorer or not. I heard Matt and Ramona talking about this on their radio show when I was coming back from lunch, and looked it up to see for myself what was so bad about this doll that is being "sexed up"

I was shocked when I seen what the up roar was over. I think the tween version of Dora is adorable. She is not sexed up at all.

Here is a like to the story and a picture, what do you think?

The pic of her looks cute. What is sexed up about her? I don't see anything that is sexed up. I see no boobs and her clothes are something that I would let Kel wear

Re: Up Roar Over Tween Dora

Well, honestly I was upset AT FIRST. All I had seen up until now was the silhouette of the new look and I did not like it. I let the girls play with Barbies and Bratz so thats not really the problem. I was just disappointed that *I thought* they were taking something so geared toward preschoolers and maturing it beyond its level. I think that the new look is adorable and am way more accepting of it after seeing the full change.

It's cute, but I'm not sure if it would be too popular with older girls. I think once they get to a certain age(especially those who went through babyhood preschool, watching Dora/and playing Dora dolls, would still think of Dora as a "doll for little kids".

I agree!

I wonder how they are going to have this Dora and the younger Dora at the same time, though? Seems like they could have made this tween version a cousin or something since Dora only has younger siblings.

Yes they should have done that.. like make her dora cousin and name her isabel or something like that, lol.

This is what I was thinking.

I think the tween Dora looks cute! She is wearing something I would let my daughter wear if I had one.

I think she looks adorable. But i can already tell you that Ally (who was the world's biggest Dora fan) just saw this and said "But Dora is for little kids!) I told her this was a new "older" version of Dora, but she still insists that she has outgrown Dora. i think they may have a problem on their hands.
