Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

LOS ANGELES – Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman has fired a nonprofit group of nurses that helped care for her children, accusing the group of spying on her and reporting her to child welfare officials, her spokesman said Monday.

Can she really afford to turn down free help? They are nurses. If they see something concerning, they are required by law to do something about it. Don't bite the hand that feeds you lady, no one else is lining up to provide free childcare for 11 special needs kids.

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

UGH! This woman is driving me nuts. I got some hope that I would no longer see her on my morning news anylonger, turn on the TV this morning and what do I hear "We thought we were done with her, but here she is again in the new, Nydia has fired her nanies"

I am so sick and tired of ppl having her on the news and giving her money for being completely unresponsible.

As to anwser your question Grace, she can afford nannies. Every TV appearence she has been on and her mother also she is getting a boat load of money. She has paid for that expensive house she is now living in, she pays a high dollar attorney, and a spokes person. On top of that she don't have to worry about diapers, bc they are being donated, same as formula, and some food for the kids. So she don't need to worry about spending any money on thoes items.

I think newscasters need to lay off. Stop paying for her stupidity, and let her live in the real world she wants to live in with 14 childern. Then you can have real neighbors reporting her to the social services for lack of child care and maybe we can see these precious childern go to good homes.

I couldn't have said it any better, Stacy.
If her kids were lucky, she'd be fired from being their mom right now. I think she is to caught up in the limelight to even realize what her life is going to be like with this many kids by herself.

I'm just glad I'm not one of those babies right now

Premies need so much care. Heck, all babies need a lot of care! Figures she's getting rich off of being irresponsible. I guess she figures her mom will do it all for her when the money and spotlight runs out just like she did before. They should have paid off her mom's house. Her mom is the saint here.

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

I don't understand how she thinks she can do it, I don't. We had Christian home from the hospital at one month old and then Den left for deployment. I was a single mom of ONE preemie. I had the added benefit of knowing I had a paycheck coming though. But for 8-9 months Christian was up every 2 hours without fail for food. Imagine doing that with 8???

She's not doing it, is she? And she never has. Her mom did it before. She chases her mom out of the poor woman's own home and drove her into bankrupcy paying for all those first batch of kids. Her mom left her so her mom could finally get some sleep at night. And all Nayda says is "My Mom didn't love me enough." No one could love you enough lady, especially not your 14 kids right now! Your job is to love and care for them, not the other way around.

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

She seriously had the nerve to say that her mother didn't love her?! This woman is more crazier then I thought she was.

If her mother didn't love/care for her then she would not have let her come in and live in her house and drive her to bankrupsy. I bet this 'problem' of hers being obsessed with having kids stems from that thought exactly.

You hear TEENAGE girls saying it all the time that have self esteem issues "I want someone to love me" She is going to have so much time, enegery, and effort going into these 8 special needs babies that she isn't going to even have time to show any her other 6 kids LOVE and attention, and so the cycle goes on...

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

I don't blame her for firing the 'nannies' if she thought they were making false reports against her. I don't know her personally so I don't know if she is really capable of providing the proper care for her babies, but having a nurse/nanny work against you certainly won't help.

We used a home health care nurse for Sebastian for his weight and jaundice(he was a preemie) and she was super nosy and rude. She didn't like that DH took care of the visit instead of me(I was resting since I just had twins). She made rude comments like 'usually the mothers do these visits'. My husband told her maybe more fathers should get involved. Then she decided to be nosy about my health even though the twins doctor requested her only for Sebastian(and it was my choice to use a home nurse or take him to the doctor). My husband told her that I didn't need any care at home since my doctor was taking care of me. She however continued to harass me about another visit to check on me and breastfeeding for 3 weeks. I will NEVER use that service again. They also have a check list of what she is supposed to look for in our house. Since when does having your baby's weight and billiruben checked mean you can see if my home is fit. It's bull and I can see where this 'service' can turn ugly fast.

I have heard some ugly things about this woman. To be honest I don't care and will never know if she is the way the media claims she is or not. I don't trust them any more than her.

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

That's how it is when you receive free help though, especially from the government. I have been through government assistance for two special needs kids. I always feel like my house is being inspected and my parenting skills are being evaluated. At least, I knew from the very start, these people were on "abuse alert". I was never fooled for a second that they weren't. But my kids need the help, so we put up with it. I'll bet every parent who has had to deal with a lot of home visits felt inspected. That's part of the deal when you get the free help. So you make sure they have absolutely no reason to think anything is up. Besides, this lady has been turned into CPS several times by her neighbors. This isn't her first brush with CPS. Plus, some tv psychatrist went on the air with her long complaint she filed with CPS against Octomom. So how can she be 100% certain it was these people who turned her in of all the many possiblities out there?

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

You make very good points Lenora! I hope she has another plan since she got rid of her help. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to be reported to CPS so I understand why she did it.

The home nurse 'service' that we were using for Sam was not free. My insurance paid for it. I refuse to pay for a 'service' that's also being used to see if my home(and others) are fit.

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

I don't blame you at all. We got a therapist Dh detested, because she made a lot of disparging remarks about veterans. Since we are both disabled veterans that went over like a lead balloon. We asked them to send someone else, which they did. Not everyone gets along. But we didn't quit the whole service because of one person!

Re: Octuplets mom fires free nanny training service

She must not remember that it's veterans(my DH is one also) that helped give her the freedom to make those remarks. She wouldn't have come into my house again either.
