Good for him! Got to admire people that stand up for themselves! I am especially inpressed that he will be donating his portion to those who really need it.

This issue has bugged me since the beginning. These employees were under deferred compensation contracts. They agreed to a $1 salary with the understanding that they would recieve a lump sum later on. I don't know exactly why the company did their salary this way (I have tried to research it) and while the amounts seem high to us these employees are big execs that do big work and deserved their pay. Based on these being contracted debts, I feel that the company had every right (and was obligated) to use their "bail-out" money to honor these.

Since it was in their contracts, I see no reason for them to return it ... or donate it in this guy's case. I would be a bit pissed if I were in their shoes.
