What is up with dr's not communicating????

Ok, so left a msg at my reg dr's office and asked my reg dr to call my ob-gyn to figure out what to do with my situation (see my journal - today's post). Ok..so she called ME instead of my ob-gyn. She basically said she can't do anything about it and adjusting my blood thinner is out of the question (which I already knew). Her suggestion...get in to see my ob-gyn before my scheduled appt next Thursday.

I just wish my dr's would talk to each other!! Do dr's have something against calling other dr's when trying to figure out a patient's situation? I know they talked before.

So I had to call my ob-gyn's office and am now seeing him AGAIN this Wednesday after work.

It's so frustrating.

Thats rediclous Cheryl. I hate having to go to two seperate doctors. When I picked my ob-gyn I asked my reg doctor who he suggested, that way I could possibly avoid something like this coming up.

And he said the perfect words "go to my BUDDY so and so"

What you need to do is just be forceful and say "Ok I am not playing messenger, it would go a whole lot quicker if you would just call him/her and figure something out so I don't have to keep making a docs appt every other day and paying out my copay every time"

They are adults and ppl in a respected line of work, they need to stop acting like 2 year olds.

There is no reason for them NOt to talk to each other. Let them know that if they aren't willing to talk to each other, thenyou will simply have to find other doctors who will.
