April 8 (Bloomberg) -- Actor Kal Penn is taking a job in the Obama administration as a liaison to Asian-American groups, a White House spokesman said.

Wow! Kummar goes to the White House. I am glad a person of East Indian decsent is playing a role in the White House Staff. Other than as an actor, I don't know what his qualifications are. It may be some sort of a feel good job, but with India playing a larger and larger role in world politics, it is a wise idea to recognize them on the White House Staff with one of their own. This guy doesn't seem that bright in movies, but that could just be acting. He could be very smart outside of his roles.
