Sorry it has been SO long since I have updated. I haven't had much of a chance to get online! I wanted to share Ava's birth story with everyone...
I went into the hospital 3/30 to have cervidil placed and the plan was to start my induction the next day. I ended up waking up in labor at about 2:15am on 3/31. At 6:30am I started with the Pitocin. I dilated 5 cm in 1/2 an hour - it was probably one of the more painful experiences of my life as I did it without an epidural. I did get an epidural about an hour and a half later though which made all the difference!!! Unfortunately my body did not react well to the Pitocin and neither did my daughters. We ended up having a few decels... one was very scary her heartbeat was in the 70's for almost 5 minutes. I was given oxygen and moved around in a few different positions and thankfully that made Ava more comfortable. After each contraction though Ava's heartbeat kept dropping. Turns out that my pelvis is too small to pass a baby through. I ended up getting a c-section and Ava was born at 1:37pm 3/31, Ava weighed 6.56 lbs.
My biggest fear about having a c-section was not being able to breast feed right away like I wanted to. Thankfully, as soon as I was brought into the recovery room Ava started to nurse and she has been doing so well with the feeding, which makes me feel so blessed as I know quite a few women have difficulty breast feeding.
I stayed in the hospital all week and have been home now for a little over a week. I am adjusting to life with a newborn well. I am so in love with my daughter, I had no clue that I could love something this much!

I'm glad you are both doing well now.
