does anyone have the mirena...??

I havent seen any birth control forums..unless im overlooking them. But do anyone have it? I have had it in for like 8 months now...it have itz good and bad effects! But I wonder how s00n could I conceive after I get it out..??

I have it in and under no circumstance what to concieve, but I think as soon as 6 weeks after it's removed.

I had mine for 1 year...it was 1 year too long for me. I hated the constant spotting and cramping.

I've had it in 2 1/2 years and I love it. Not a single side effect except a little acne. Krista I think I had already talked about that. Sorry if I'm repeating.

I did have spotting the first year and nothing not even a period now

well i had bleeding for about a month or two after i got it. But now I still have my period itz lighter but it last maybe 5 days longer s0 10 not 5 like Im used to. But I have some smell between periods that I never had before the iud..it smell foul but light..idk how 2 explain it but itz not a loud smell people im around like friends and my bf say they dnt smell it..and maybe i smell it cause itz my body. But i just shower more. 2 me itz not that bad! i have read that some people have had bad side effects..but i guess it depends on you and your body! But it took my sex drive up alot!!

I've had it for almost four years. My periods were light to begin with, so after a couple months (at the most) of spotting, I haven't had anything since. I only cramped for a day or so after insertion.

If our financial situation doesn't change drasticly before then, when the time's up, I'm just getting another one.

Mirena is a contraceptive device that contains the active ingredient levonorgestrel.
I've known two people who had the mirena. One ended up with cysts and had to have half her ovary removed and could possibly end up with the rest of it removed which means no babies.
The other ended up with it getting attached into the skin in the uterus which caused her a lot of pain and some bleeding and she had to have it surgically removed.
These are things that they tell you are possible risks. I have been hearing more and more cases of these things happening. So I can't say that I would recommend it.

I haven't heard anything bad about it but I have decided to get a tubal ligation now instead of dealing with birth control-I know that I am done with having babies

I had it placed, but it took almost 3 yrs to conceive naturally after it was removed. May be it is a concidence but it believe it to be the reason!
