I hated it when complete strangers would touch my babies. Strange babies are strictly look but don't touch! Old ladies have no sense. Usually, it was old ladies for me.

I work in a store and there are babies in and out all day. MOST of the customers that come in are regulars and some of them will hand their babies right over. However, without invitation, the only touching I do is to their feet. Tiny hands and chubby cheeks are tempting but I handle money all day and while I wash my hands frequently, who knows what germs I pick up.

I didn't mind people I knew touching my kids. We go to the same grocery store, have for years, so we know most of the people there, and we didn't mind if they touched the kids. We also eat at the same Mexican restaurant right around the corner from our house. We have been going there since Emily was a month old. By the time she was three or four months old, the waitresses would fight over who got to hold her while we ate our food. They would carry her around, take her all over the restaurant. It was fine with us. They did the same thing with Travis.
It's just those total strangers that wanted to pinch Em's cheeks (they were so yummy and pudgy!) or touch Travis's cute nose or whatever that made me cringe a little.

that is cute..i hated it so much when they try to put their dirty hands on destiny face..i would pull back..or move herreally didnt like it..esp when they look dirty!!

You have to be careful with who touches your child. I don't like it when random strangers see a cute baby and want to touch their face, hands, etc. It really irritates me when you're sitting down and your child is next to you.....someone says "cute baby" then slide over closer as if they want to play with your child. Even if the kid isn't mine, I still feel protective (I don't do anything about it because technically it isn't my child). Maybe its that natural womanhood thing I guess. Plus in today's world, you have to really keep an eye on your children and who is surrounding them. I think the same thing goes with a pregnant woman and complete strangers wanting to touch her stomach.

Well here is the story, this past weekend Jordan and I were at HEB, well I stop in the balloon area so Jerren can Ogle at all the balloons, well while this was happening a handicapped guy comes up to Jerren says BABY! and by that time I am thinking awww how cute of him to do that, well the guy leans in a kisses Jerren on the head. Honestly I wasn't upset at all but Jordan was pretty pissed. I am sorry but I can't get mad at someone that is mentally disabled. I was more pissed that Jordan touched jerrens arms after handling raw meat.

Once we left I just gave Jerren a good wipe off.

i understand why you wouldnt be mad at the guy because he didnt know any better...

Exactly Tiffany! I actually thought it was really sweet cuz the guy softly gave Jerren a kiss, and turned around and went to talk to the balloon ladies.

See, I think that is sweet! That guy really didn't know any better and he was being gentle and nice about, too. I would have slapped Jordan for touching after handling raw meat. We'll just have to say he had a temporary brain burp.

LOL I actually got mad at Jordan for getting mad at the kid. I told Jordan I was more worried about HIM touching the baby then the kid.

Now if it was some random lady or guy trying to kiss my baby I would have kicked them in the shin LOL, but this was totally different
