Re: PETA Discourages Octo-Mom From Buying a Pet
Good grief! Why can't they just concentrate on saving whales or polar bears, something that needs saving? A pig is kind of a weird choice, but this woman makes odd choices, so what else is new? I'm sure any pig in her care will be fine. Personally, I would have picked a dog. With that many kids, any dog is going to be overwhelmed with affection which dogs especially like.

Personally...for once...I agree with PETA. That woman needs an animal like I need a hole in the head. One person is barely capable of meeting the needs of 14 people...let alone add a poor helpless animal in the mix. And pigs are definately NOT an animal to go without constant supervision and training...neither is a dog...both would end up with the poor animal being destructive or worse yet biting one of the poor kids and then the animal would suffer. Besides....why should the public(already paying for plenty for this woman's stupidity) have to pay for this as well?

She's not caring for the children by herself. She has 8 nannies. Including her that is 14/9 or roughly 1.5 children per adult. I have not been around pot bellied pigs much and avioded livestock pigs like the plague. They (livestock hogs) smell terrible and they are mean. I can't imagine the neighbors not complaining against the smell. But with all the other things about her life to be concerned about a pig or a dog is the least of my worries. Besides, she has got the media, social services and her nanny service so far up her behind, that family is very well monitored. Her kids are probably in better hands than many other children.

Frankly, I don't give a rats hienie anymore. I am SO sick of hearing about this woman. IBut it's bad enough we are paying for her to have so many kids. Now we are supposed to pay for her kids pets? Those kids are too small for a pet, anyway. Wait until they are old enough to help care for it.

I am guessing it is for the six other children. Poor older kids. I feel sorry for all of her kids. She has made their life a circus.
