Wal-Mart had their school supplies on sale

Crayola crayons were .25 cents, pencils were .50cents (I think) a 2 pack of Elmers glue sticks were .25 cents, 4oz elmers school glue was also .25 cents.
Composition books were .50 cents. There was other supplies on sale, but this was what I purchased because it was on my daughters' list. Fiscar scissors were about $2, but I don't know if that was a sale price or not since I have never purchased scissors for them before.
Just wasted to let y'all know. I saved about $20 off of regular prices!

I am finished buying school supplies! I still have to wait for the supply sale at school to buy their workbooks, folders, and handwriting tablets, but I can't control when the school has their sale.

Oh, and might I add that I printed labels and labeled EVERYTHING and packed it in their backpacks AND labeled and packed their classroom supplies and put it in bags. I am so proud of myself!
We even have their uniforms!

PS. can you believe my babies are going to be in 1st grade?!?!

Thanks for the heads up on walmart's school supplies being on sale! I was wondering when that would start. Great job on getting it all ready to go.

Looks like I need to head to Walmart. I normally buy Ally's supplies thru the school, but they have gotten to be more expensive than buying them myself. thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up-- I have to get going myself. I was hoping Staples was having the sales like last year but nothing so far. Last year I saved so much with their 1 cent and 5 cent sales. I will post if I hear Staples has anything good.

Heather, THANK YOU! Rick and I ran to Walmart Friday night to see what they had.

1 subject notebooks .15 each (I bought 2 cases [48 total])
Crayola crayons .20 (got 10)
Crayola colored pencils .75 (got 6)
2 pack washable glue sticks .75 (got 3)
flexible colored rulers 1.00 (got 2)
colored plastic calculators 1.00 (got 2)
plastic pencil cases 1.00
index cards .50 (got 3)
Elmers washable glue .50 (got 4)
Crayola washable markers 1.00 (got 6)

I always buiy extra of everything cause half way thru the year the teachers will be sending home notes asking for additional supplies. This way I already have them on hand and got them cheap. I think we only spent about $15 on school stuff. Still have tons more to get, but the lists aren't out yet.

wow brenda that is very good! ill be getting my supplies at walmart than. i also like to stock up for half of the year requests also. I need to restock my childcare supplies as well. thanks for the update ladies!
