World's oldest new mom dies, leaves twin toddlers

A Spanish woman believed to have become the world's oldest new mother when she gave birth at 66 has died at 69, leaving behind twin toddlers, newspapers reported Wednesday.

Those poor babies! I hope they have a younger cousin to care for them. Their mother should have thought of this when she lied about her age and having a tumor before having invetro.

Why in the world would they even have a max limit of 50-55 yea IF the parent lives until the kid is 18 cool but I honestly think the limit should stop at 40-45

Women naturally have babies in their 50s and no one stops them. But over the age that the wide, vast majority of women have already gone through menopause (ie 66) is a little over the limit for me. I wouldn't want to have another baby at 55, but then again I don't want another baby at 43. My dad's father was 54 when my dad was born and yes, he had considerable health problems, but I think all in all, he was a better father to my dad in his 50s than he was to my aunts when he was in his 20s. My dad was 33 when his father died. He got 33 good years in with his dad. No one knows how long they will live or if they will continue to be in good health.

I understand this woman's desire to have a family, it's just a shame she didn't consider doing it 10 years earlier.
